This policy explains how Void Runner, published by RuiCodex, handles your personal data. The same text is available inside the app on the Privacy screen.

Data We Collect

The game does not require personal details: there is no account, and it never asks for your email address or location. You may optionally enter a display name that appears on the leaderboard; if you leave it empty you appear as “Player”. Do not use your real name — the name you enter is shown to other players. To stay free the game shows advertising through Google AdMob, and when an ad is served Google processes your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA) together with approximate location and device information. Where the law requires it, an option to change your advertising choice appears under Settings > Privacy options.

Where Your Data Lives

Your game progress is kept on your device. Records you send to the leaderboard — your display name, your score and the time of the submission — are also stored on our servers. “Reset Progress” in Settings erases the data on your device and removes your leaderboard entry; the submission record we keep for abuse review is retained with your name and IP address removed, under a random player identifier that is not linked to you. Uninstalling the app erases the data on your device but does not delete the record on our servers. For any further request, write to info@ruicodex.com.

Advertising

The game is free and funded by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdMob. To deliver them, AdMob processes your device's advertising identifier, an approximate location derived from your IP address, device and operating-system information, and your interaction with the ad (impression, click, whether a rewarded ad was watched). None of this reaches us in a form that identifies you — we see aggregated performance reports only. Buying the "Remove Ads" item in the shop disables banner, interstitial and app-open ads; optional rewarded ads remain available if you choose to watch them.

Third Parties

Our only advertising partner is Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), through the AdMob service. You can review how Google uses this data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543. Apart from Google AdMob and the game analytics described below (our own server, not shared with anyone), we use no tracking or data-sharing SDK.

Game Analytics

To learn which parts of the game work and which need fixing, the game sends usage events to our own analytics server (PostHog, run by RuiCodex on its own infrastructure and not shared with third parties): for example which screens you open, when a game starts and ends, your score, ads you watch and visits to the shop. The game does not record your screen. Versions before 2.0 include a screen-recording feature (session replay) that captured images of the game's own screens while you played — these could show your leaderboard display name, never anything outside the game. This recording has been switched off on our server since 4 October 2026, and from version 2.0 it is also switched off in the app itself. The events and recordings are linked to a random identifier created on your device, not to your email address or advertising ID, and are used only to improve the game. From version 2.0 you can also switch analytics off at any time under Settings > Usage analytics; to have this data deleted, write to the address under Contact.

Purchases

In-app purchases, such as “Remove Ads”, are processed by Google Play under your Google account; we never see your card or other payment details. The app only receives from Google Play which product was bought and whether it has been paid, so that it can deliver it. Which items you tap and buy in the shop is also sent to the game analytics described above; from version 2.0 also the price and currency of a purchase.

Consent and Your Choices

Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before the first ad is displayed. You may refuse personalised advertising; ads then continue to be shown without personalisation. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings > Privacy options.

Resetting or Deleting Your Advertising ID

On Android you can reset or completely delete your advertising ID under Settings > Google > Ads. On iOS you can withhold tracking permission under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; if you do not grant it, the IDFA is not shared. To erase your in-game data, use Settings > Reset Progress; uninstalling the app also removes everything stored on the device.

Leaderboard

The game has an online leaderboard. Every run you finish with a score above zero is sent to it automatically: your display name (“Player” if you have not set one), your score, the mode you played and whether you completed it, how long the run lasted, the time of the submission, and a random installation identifier the app generates for itself on first launch. For abuse review, our server also records the IP address the submission came from. The identifier only ties scores from the same device together; it is not linked to your name, your email, any account or your advertising ID, and it is not matched against anything else. Without a connection nothing is sent at that moment; the result waits on your device and is sent the next time you are online. Score records are kept for as long as the board is running. “Reset Progress” in Settings removes your leaderboard entry and strips your name and IP address from the submission records; you can also ask for deletion by writing to info@ruicodex.com.

Your Display Name Is Public

The display name you choose is shown to every other player on the leaderboard. For that reason, do not use your real name, email address, phone number or anything else that identifies you. You can change the name at any time in Settings. If you see a name that is offensive, abusive or contains personal information, report it to info@ruicodex.com — we remove reported names.

Children's Privacy

The game is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Ads shown in the game are limited to the "G" (general audiences) content rating.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, the Turkish KVKK and comparable laws you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data, or object to its processing. Write to info@ruicodex.com; we answer within 30 days.
